Song Lyrics Quiz

Okay post an obscure(ish. i/e not the chorus) lyric from a well known song.
Next poster gives the next line, artist and track title. The person who gets it right posts the next question. And no googling.

I'll start with an easy one....

"Sweetness I was only joking when I said by rights you should be bludgeoned in your bed."

"And now I know how Joan of Arc felt, now I know how Joan of Arc felt"

The Smiths - Bigmouth Strikes Again :D

Okay next one:

"Do you cry out in your sleep, all my failings exposed?"

"Get a taste in my mouth as desperation takes hold"

Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Here's the next one....

"then like a fool I fell in love with you"

Turned my whole world upside down....Laaaaayla

Layla, Eric Clapton

"Ambition makes you look pretty ugly"

"Squeeling, Gucci little piggy" ?

Paranoid Android - Radiohead.

"you disturb my natural emotions"

"You make me feel I'm dirt, and I'm hurt"?

Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love...

"Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner"

"sometimes I feel like my only friend is the city I live in"

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Under the Bridge

"Been riding broomsticks since she 15, blown out all the other witches on the scene"

"She's got a bullwhip just as long as your life"

Jimi Hendrix - Dolly Dagger

Damn, I'm meant to be a lurker.

:O

"Standing on the corner, suitcase in my hand"

"Been riding broomsticks since she 15, blown out all the other witches on the scene"

Hahaha. Dolly Dagger by Jimi Hendrix.

"You fell asleep, I stayed awake and watched the passing cars."

Edit: Dammit, too slow. I think Darren's is a Lou Reed song but I can't quite get which one.

'Waiting For My Man', maybe?

Not "Waiting for My Man" but very warm........

I know what the Lou Reed song is. I don't know the next line. I refuse to Google it, and I've just listened to it on my iTunes but I can't figure out what he's saying!

Sweet Jane isn't it?

Something about Jack...blah, blah Jane something something...?

That's it

Yeah I reckon its sweet Jane too, have it on the Max's Kansas City live recording but can't be arsed to go downstairs and play it! :)
