To be honest, no. I'm not a huge fan any more - I've lived in a lot of places that are better, including two years in New York in the late 90s.

It's all about love, which when you're constantly on the move is not the easiest thing. Finally found someone to settle down with - she's American but doesn't live in NYC, so it's the best compromise for both of us.

Couple of pictures from New York last summer:

Katz's deli (for those of you not in the know, the clue is "Oh...ohhh...auhhh...ohh my God....oh my God....Yes!!...Yess!!!!....YESSSSSSS!!!!!! etc)

Bit haggard in the lower one - morning after an all-nighter.

I think I was scolded once for posting a photo of a huge pastrami sandwich. But I wish I had one in front of me right now.

I like a nice steak sandwich.

It's right up there with bacon sarnies - just mention the name and you gotta have one

Radio presenters aren't allowed to mention them on air because half the audience runs straight to the kitchen.

Bacon has no effect on me. I am a freak. It's because it's pork.

Well I suppose if you're going to live in America, New York is one of the best places to choose!

(Not that I've even bloody been there. One day.)

I had a 'New York deli style' pastrami sandwich today. It was delicious. But had only one layer of pastrami! Not like that horrific example you just posted, DaButt! Jeebus.
