I guess that "The Scotsman" is the north of the border equivalent of The Guardian or The Independent - in whch case I treat a review like that with the contempt it deserves. Why don't these people get a real job? Anyone can watch TV and write about it.
Not Going Out - Series 3 Page 56
I wish that was my job.
Does it really need a degree? No! Just a big far arse, a pen and paper. Oh - and a TV too would help.
I have all of those things!
I am sorted.

I don't remember seeing you had ANY of those. Not that I specifically looked you understand.
Apparently there's a story in today's News Of The World that says Not Going Out has been axed due to production costs! If Andrew Collins is around please say that this is not true!!!
But more to the point, you read the News of the World?!

Somebody said it was in the paper on a thread in the Doctor Who Forum. Tried to find the story on the website but can't see it. I can tell you about a former choirgirl that has become a porn actress though!!!

Quote: Danny K @ March 23 2009, 11:23 PM BSTSpot on, my arse and parsley! (As they are won't to say over the border.) It's anything but. Here's the opening line of the drivel that's supposed to be 'spot on': "FOR a sitcom now in its third series, and which has won prestigious, international awards, Not Going Out is peculiarly bad."
Well, it is spot on if that's what the reviewer really thinks. Different opinions and all that.
So if people don't like Not Going Out then they are manically depressed?
Hmm.
By the same token I would say that anyone who does like it is a racist.
If we are going to generalise people based on their opinions on a comedy show let's go mental.
I've also read on another forum that there is an article in the NOTW saying that Not Going Out has been axed.
A damn shame if true, although I think this was the weakest series, it was still one of the most enjoyable British sitcoms currently running.
Say it ain't so.
And what do the BBC plan to replace it with then?
I do wish they'd get rid of BBC Three to cover the cost of having better programmes.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH!!
It took BBC Two's budget and now BBC Two is a shadow of its former self. Not Going Out would suit BBC Two very well.
