Cheating.

A FORTUNE TELLER IS READING CARDS.

TURNS A CARD
Ooh death that's bad, very bad my dear. It means death.

TURNS ANOTHER CARD.
Ooh Mr Bun the Baker that's even worse. It means absolutely certain death.

TURNS ANOTHER CARD
Ooh the card with the scores for poker on it. That's absolutely definitely certain death and I am never, ever wrong. Aren't you scared?

MAN
You're cheating.

PULL BACK TO REVEAL FORUTNE TELLER IS A DEATH ROW GUARD READING THE CARDS OF A MAN STRAPPED INTO AN ELECTRIC CHAIR.

Now you're talking. Nice.

Good twist there

Nice, but you can dispense with the baker stuff. Just have it as a regular tarot pack.

Yeah agree with David. Butthat's a very nice reveal at the end.

Laughing out loud

Sounds like something from "Genius" - same category as the "bumbrella"

Didn't work for me

lol Laughing out loud

Soots, this is excellent, nice reveal. You write very good non-topical (and I prefer it, tbh. Longer shelf-life ;) )

Brilliant! Laughing out loud Good to see you're back on drugs, Soots!

Hey Sootyjs got his dongle out hip hip hooray.

I like it but agree with others that it might be better to stick to genuine tarot cards and save the random cards for a different sketch. If you keep the random cards, I think it's contract bridge scoring rather than poker, isn't it?

Ok I will reedit and use regular cards instead.

sootyj, I could be a million miles out here, but I think this would have more impact the other way round.
If it was the prisoner reacting to the cards, "oh God no, its the death card, I'm going to die"
and the guard pacifying him, "not necessarily, it may just mean a change of vocation" or some such, before the evil reveal.
