Agreed. The idea of Gandolfini in an Innaucci production is great.

Seems like CL is out of the loop then.

Maybe next time.

Ooooh that looks excellent. Might get me to the Cinema for that.

"Hey, buddy, enough with the curse words."
"Kiss my balls you sweaty, fat f**k!"

Laughing out loud

I can't wait! :D

(Although apparently I'll have to, until April 17th.)

I think it was in fact 'kiss my sweaty balls, you fat f**k' which is even better. :D

Can't wait for this film.

A review here from Alistair Campbell:

Despite Alastair Campbell's review, I'm still looking forward to it. I loved The Thick of It.

Can't wait for this. From some of the rumours going around this could be one of the best British comedies ever.
It screened at Sundance and apparently was a hit.
Fortunately it was made with British money and Armando Iannucci says that has allowed him not to have to pander to American audiences.
It would be great if this is as good as it promises to be. We haven't exactly led the way in film comedy in this country for some years.
Fingers crossed.

Verrry interesting review. Very interesting indeed. A pity that there's not more grounding to it, but that's not to say that to someone uninvolved, it won't be funny. Here's hoping.

Interesting... http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2009/03/27/8621/bbc_ruined_the_us_thick_of_it

Armando Iannucci says the BBC wrecked the US version of The Thick Of It by excluding him from the remake.

A pilot of the political satire was made for the ABC network two years ago, but it was never picked up.

He told the Daily Mirror: 'I was shoved out of the equation straight away. The BBC just went and sold it to the highest bidder without really telling me.'

It was developed for America by Arrested Development producers Mitch Hurwirtz and Richard Day, with Spinal Tap star Christopher Guest directing.

Iannucci – who runs a comedy unit within the BBC – added: 'Maybe Guest wasn't the best person. He favours a slow unravelling - whereas The Thick Of It is quite frenetic.'

Iannucci was credited as an executive producer on the US version, but had little direct input.
