That reminds me, has anyone else noticed the way shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy always seem to have it in for the Irish?

Haven't seen recent seasons of these shows, but I'd be surprised if this was the case. The Americans seem to have a rose-tinted view of Ireland.

American shows & films always seem to show the Brits & the Irish in a bad light these days.
I've been noticing it more & more.

Yes, the Brits have always been given a roasting. Still not sure about the Oirish.

Americans don't seem to know Scotland is part of Britain.

No, they think it's in England.

Nope.

I'm sure some Americans think all Irish people have little turned up noses, like Leprechauns. I remember watching the show Nip/Tuck, a year or two ago, and a woman was complaining about her nose being too turned up, afterwhich one of the plastic surgeon guys then asked her if she had any Irish ancestory. Surely, if any part of the world is known for it's people having turned up noses, it's Scandinavia.

Actually, can anyone actually think of a single famous Irish person who has a little turned up nose? I suppose Dara O'Brien's is a bit Leprechaun-esque, but other than that, I can't think of anyone.

Not sure a line in Nip/Tuck should been seen as reflecting a popular opinion in America. Although I guess the most famous American with Irish ancestry is JFK, and his nose was a bit turned up.

Well, I did only say "some Americans".

Shit, I seriously need to cut down on the amount of time I waste, writing about pointless shit on here!!

Don't be so selfish. If everybody took that attitude there'd be no BSG.

Not Size-wise

I remember Frankie Boyle describing him as the result of a Monkey F**king a Mountain.

Good. And thank goodness you gave it to her. And just copy the discs if there's ever a break-up ahead and you feel the urge to be in possession of the entire Frasier canon.
