Dilemma, what do you guys think?

A couple of days ago I ordered the Frasier box-set for my girlfriend's birthday present. She loves Frasier. It arrived today. It's beautiful I want to keep it. So do I do just that and get her something else?

I love DVD boxsets and this 44 disc behemouth would be a great addition to my collection. If I did give it to her (!) I would have access to it (we live together) but it's no the same is it?

What say you?

Keep the box set and buy her a very nice bottle of single malt whisky. That's what I'd do!

:)

Keep it! Buy her some flowers and chocolate - its all they bloody want anyway.

Get her something else, I guess.

But get her something good! Not bloody chocolates.

It's just a bloody boxset. Boxsets fade and disintegrate, relationships too... when boxsets take precedence.
:)
Just rip them to DVD for safety's sake.

In fact, she loves Frasier, don't you think if you suddenly have the boxset at the same time as her birthday she'll suspect something's up?

Plus she'll be jealous.

Give it to her but make sure you take it when you break up :)

Give her the box and you keep the set, that seems fair. :)

If she loves Frasier & you give her the box set, then you will definitely get your salads tossed & eggs scrambled.

Yeah, but what about a shag?

Since you guys live together, you might as well give the DVDs to her. After all, as you say, you'd have access to them.

Plus it will look funny if you have spent loads of money on yourself and then got her a cheaper gift. We women notice stuff like that.

Oh, I wouldn't spend any less on her. It was £85 and I would at least match it or top it.

Some very interesting replies (as expected).

£85 on gift? Bloody hell...

Poundland is your friend.

The closest they'd have though would be a Steps VHS. Maybe I could get her some clown meat?

Then the obvious choice is to buy her one as well.
