Most Under-rated sitcom character

Which sitcom character do you love, yet nobody else really speaks of. Which character is to you a legend, but most people don't even think of.
I'm going for Bernard Hedges from Please Sir. A brilliant character in my opinion, yet most people don't remember him.

Martin Bryce in 'Ever Decreasing Circles'
Tom Chance in 'Chance In A Million'

Mrs Johnson, 'Citizen Smith'.

Tom Chance in 'Chance In A Million'

Tom Chance necking a pint then talking in a rough voice for a couple of seconds cracked me up every time.

Pte Godfrey: "I tried some of my sister Dolly's elderberry wine once... I fell over."

Nick Swainey - One Foot In The Grave.

One of my favourite lines:

Tom: Getting divorced this afternoon.
Alison: You're not married...(worried)...are you Tom?
Tom: Could be actually

Or summink like that

How about Robert Barone's geeky Brother-in-law, on Everybody Loves Raymond? He's only in the show once in a while, but he's hilarious.

Also, the young, blonde gay guy, in 30 Rock.

Kenneth, are you talking about?

Jim in the Vicar of Dibley :)

And also Trigger of Only Fools.

Also Manuel of Fawlty Towers.

Kenneth, are you talking about?

Me? I'd be talking about Young Mr Grace's nurse (played by Vivienne Johnson) in Are You Being Served? I don't think the character had a name, but she was pure class.

Mrs Johnson, 'Citizen Smith'.

Oh definetly. Remember the classic 'I preferred our Rover Charles' line in the episode 'The Glorious Day' Also on a Citizen Smith note, Harry Fenning.

Pte Godfrey: "I tried some of my sister Dolly's elderberry wine once... I fell over."

Yes, as my avatar will prove. But he is a well known character.

Nick Swainey - One Foot In The Grave.

Yes, wonderfully happy character with a darker side to him.

Also Manuel of Fawlty Towers.

These characters are regarded as top sitcom characters and are well known. I mean really characters who aren't well known to the average person.

Vienna from Rising Damp. She was a part of what made Rigsby, Rigsby.

Vienna was a boy cat. Trufax.

"People ask why he's called Vienna. If you take this cat to the door - on a night when you'd have to kick a polar bear out, never mind a cat - if he sees another pair of eyes out there, it's 'Goodnight Vienna'."
