Favourite Simpsons Character?

Mine has to be Wiseguy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recurring_characters_from_The_Simpsons#Wiseguy

He's the handyman bloke, hasn't really got a name. I think he's great though. :)

There's also,

Ralph, Skinner, Chief Wiggum and Mr Burns.

and of course Homer.

Cheif Wiggum is without a doubt my favourite non simpson family character.

Itchy & Scratchy.

... and Troy McLure.

You might remember him from such sitcoms as .............

Gil the rubbish salesman is really good.

Not being a party pooper here, I say: I'm not being a party pooper here but I cannot stand the show. Horrendous drivel.

Skibb, you are a Clinton fan. Are you part of the Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenema Squad?

I don't love The Simpsons, but when forced to watch it I quite like Smithers.

That's OK, don't worry, no need to apologise ... everybody is wrong about something sometimes! :)

I loved Lionel Hutz the lawyer, or Kent Brockman. Anything Phil hartman did was so close to genius. I'm not sure it had the same sort of scope after he died. Some of the best ones were based around his characters.

Not to say it went downhill, just the scope of the show narrowed, slightly.

Actually I just read the Wikipedia link, and while keeping up the comments on Phil hartman, I think the Skinner / Chalmers thing was hilarious. A real cliche done fantastically well.

Difficult to choose though when you have so many well drawn characters to pool from.

(He didn't do Kent Brockman though.)

No, you're perfectly right to say it went down hill because it did/has. From Season 10 onwards it became rubbish, Homer became different, jokes usually at the expense of him being hurt in some way or another, and less about this family and their simple struggles, but more extravagant plots with less jokes. But Pre-Season 10 it was the best show ever.

After many hours deliberation

It’s has to be Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Jr.

"Thank you, come again!"

On the more general point, I’ve not seen a bad episode of the Simpsons ever, but not having access to Sky I’m still to see many of the later ones.

Mine is Ralph :D "If youre happy and you know it, say a swear!" to which Ralph says, "MITTENS!"

It's 4 years ahead of Channel 4.
