I too have hovered, dithered and wavered, however have now comitted myself to being a fully paid up and registered member of the site. Salut, one and all, please embrace me as one of your brethren. But not too tightly, I'm a little claustrophobic.

I'm a wee slip of a lad, live in London (or one of it's more affordable environs at least), an actor <in a sitcom - incidentally - at present, but I'll try not to reveal that one in case you already hate it/me> and am trying to write for the first time. Looking forward to bitching with you, shoulder to shoulder in the fight for a better comedy world!

Welcome to the twilight zone ... but as David says it's a bit quiet at the moment ... probably because half the UK is under water and the other half have buggered off to somewhere warmer (like here ... phew ... we're really sweating it out at the moment!). Stick one of your writing efforts in the Critique section when you're ready ... the critiquing on here is usually pretty helpful and constructive ... just bear in mind that writers (especially un-published ones) are pretty near the bottom of the food chain, whereas actors (as thou art professin' to be) are somewhere near the top. Same with growing oranges ... the ones I grow are 33 cents per kilo off the tree ... but the soddin' supermarkets flog 'em at E2.95 a kilo!! That ain't a fair profit distribution ... same as with writing methinks!
Oh well ... end of late night moan! Have fun here. I'll be looking out for your stuff.
