From what I see, only when they are criticising because they fully didn't get what he was doing. He takes intelligent criticism fairly well, I think.

There is no fan forum thing on Ricky Gervais's site. He just seems to have a moan at people daily.
Granted some of the criticism is stupid but reacting by calling them c**ts is not such a great response is it?

This line is still making me laugh.
It is clever, but the set up "the sort of steroid that makes you grow a penis on your back" was rather contrived. (I suspect that in its original form the gag referred to women athletes taking steroids.) There always seem to be one or two moments each show when I think, "Why did that character say that rather strange thing? Oh it's the set up to a gag!"

Yeah I was talking about Gervais not Linehan. It's one thing responding badly to criticism posted on your own site, but seeking out YouTube comments and then responding to them, as you say by calling people c**ts and nerds and stuff, it just makes him look really insecure.
