Thanks. Although it does seem to work better with flashbacks, I would only actually call them flashbacks at a push, they are more glimpses into the characters life. Is their a term for this aside from flashbacks?

Same story, different perspective may just give it the edge.

Lost has taken the crown when it comes to use of flash-back and flash-fowards, even combining both in one episode, confusing the hell out of the viewer. It works well though when you are telling a story about time travel. :)
