I'm also surprised to learn that the town isn't in the north.

Guh!

South-west.

Quote: zooo @ February 26 2009, 9:38 PM GMT

It's towards Birmingham!

So it's nearly north.

Guh!

We're 40 miles below.

Depends where you are starting from.

Mr and Mrs Nium, as others have said you should talk about it proper like, and then make a decision. Once you have made the decsion tell yourself it was the right one and don't look back, and then it will be the right one.

You northerner!!!

Thanks for the input guys, it's much appreciated. I feel a heart to heart coming on...

Good luck! Hope it goes well.

Can I also be a nosey mother-f**ker and ask where abouts you lived in the town?

The salubrious St Pauls, near the church, not far from the corner shop with the Indian guy who had hair implants and they all fell out, leaving him with hundreds of dents all over his dome.

Ha, ha!

I used to live near the racecourse, but now I'm based in town. (In case you were interested obviously)

Good luck with your decision.

Lets be fair, there's a million worse places to live the old GL postcode.

I always wanted to live in Birdlip, Glos. Because I'm childish.

I spent 3 or 4 days in the town in 2004. It seemed like a nice place.

Brilliantly, the sign for 'Uckington' has been hilariously defaced with an added 'F'.

Tee hee.

Minge isn't a word that the average American would even recognize. I doubt I'd have even bothered to photograph the sign if I had seen a few episodes of Bo' Selecta!

Pity they ruined it with the 'R'.
