Definitely a case of "won't".

Sentient life forms? You've clearly not met any of my girlfriends.

Probably best not to use this line when you and Aaron adopt.
We're adopting cats.

"The Right to Bear Arms" was supposed to have been written "The Right to Bare Arms", i.e the right to wear short sleeved shirts or even to take your shirt off when it was hot.
To be fair to DaButt's statement
We should also consider this mighty long report.
One thing to remember is that guns deaths do not equal gun murders. Most gun deaths are suicides. It's much faster and less messy than throwing yourself under a train.
A few facts and figures:
* "Assault" rifles are used in only 1% of gun crimes.
* "Assault" rifles are neither more powerful nor more deadly that your average hunting rifle. They're actually less powerful and less deadly.
* "Assault" rifles are not capable of "spraying" bullets. One trigger pull equals one shot - the same as any hunting rifle.
A Washington Post editorial about the 1994 ban on "assault" rifles hits the nail right on the head and voices the concern citizens have when it comes to any sort of firearm legislation:
No one should have any illusions about what was accomplished (by the ban). Assault weapons play a part in only a small percentage of crime. The provision is mainly symbolic; its virtue will be if it turns out to be, as hoped, a stepping stone to broader gun control.

I still don't fully understand why you care. If you haven't owned a gun up until this point, why are you bothered if you can or can't? Especially as you've dismissed the effectiveness of a ban on this very forum.
Also, I forgot to mention there's a hot Jap girl in the office at the moment.

It's a matter of principle. He believes that he should have the RIGHT to, even if he doesn't actually want to himself.
