It's not British but it is Commonwealth ;)
I thought I'd mention that the very funny Russell Peters is about to start his second series of his CBC Radio 1 hit Monsoon House. I'm sure if you wanted to hear it you could listen to the CBC online radio.
It also has Michael Riley from 'This is Wonderland' a Canadian show I know some of you watched and liked.

What's radio comedy like over there? Do you have an equivalent of our talk-based Radio 4, which has a lot of hours each week devoted to radio sitcoms, sketch shows and panel shows.

Nah, we're not as cool as you guys.
We have a few good ones and a lot of unfunny ones. CBC Radio takes itself very seriously. We don't have any comedy panel shows anywhere in English speaking North America.
The most popular are probably 'The Debaters' (closest thing we have to a panel show where they take comedians have them debate a topic it's usually really funny stuff), and Vinyl Cafe which has been around for years (a sort of suffocated humorous story telling show).
With the popularity of the Debaters I noticed they've tried different things that resemble comedy panel shows some worth checking out.
So no, no comedy hours or anything really.

Well, duh. Cool

I've been enjoying Inside Alan Francis, especially Mr. Fufu the cat. Speaking as someone who lives with a cat, I often find the animal to be somewhat sinister.

I must admit I got a bit bored with it this week. The studio audience seemed to find it much funnier than my. Also, if you've got a sinister cat you should have him put to sleep.

Here's a series that should be of interest to radio comedy fans. It starts next Saturday: https://www.comedy.co.uk/radio/galton_simpson_half_hour/

Looks ... promising, I suppose. I'll be tuning in anyway. :)

Another good episode of Clare in the Community. I particularly liked the "Brazillian" gag.

I have to say I wasn't keen on Jon Holmes' new theme music on The Now Show.

A friend pointed me in the direction of The Correspondent- its really quite good I reckon (sorry if its been posted before)

Its the life of a guy working in an office, but via everything he reads or writes (email, text, post-its etc).. Works quite well.

Is there any news anywhere in I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue? (Apologies for being lazy but I'm new and can't find it.)

Yes there is. A series of six episodes is to be made. Two episodes will be hosted by Stephen Fry in Her Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket, London. Two episodes will be hosted by Jack Dee at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton. The other two will be hosted by Rob Brydon at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle.

Yeah, I enjoyed The Correspondent too. Sadly you just missed the broadcast of the second series, but I'm sure it'll be on Radio 7 at some point: https://www.comedy.co.uk/radio/the_correspondent/

Maurice, if you like The Correspondent, then I'd definiely recommend checking out All Bar Luke too: https://www.comedy.co.uk/radio/all_bar_luke/

Another vote for All Bar Luke. One of the best radio sitcoms ever, in my opinion.

I'll look out for that one - nowt on iPlayer at the moment..

Third series has just been on (a couple of months ago) so it might be a while yet. :(
