Not Going Out - Series 3 Page 36

I thought it was quite interesting to see that this week's episode was co-written by Daniel Peak. Wasn't he the guy that won a BBC sitcom writing competition a few years ago? He's obviously done quite well for himself out of it - nice to see.

It works for some people, that's fine. I'm not a begrudger. Lee Mack though - he really is completely and utterly devoid of any kind of charm or charisma.

I think he's got very nearly a wheelbarrow-full of charm and charisma.
(That's a lot.)
(Especially up north.)

Yeah, I'm not sure you've got such a great track record in judging men's charm and charisma. ;)

Well, Lee Mack Live is on Channel 4 on Friday night after Free Agents. Watch that, and if you still think so afterwards, then I'll be surprised.

Or maybe you've already seen it...

Don't be bitter just 'cause you scored zero on my charmometer.

You can't force me to like someone! I'll give it a whirl, but it's rare for me to change an opinion about someone who's been around for a fair amount of time.

Teary You've wounded me with your wounding words. You wounder.

No, I'm just a little perplexed. I genuinely find him to have a certain quirky charm to him!

Let's not get silly. . . Get some perspective.

Yes, thanks for that tip Chip' - I'm straight off to the pisspective shop as soon as they're open. Going to get me one of those Perspex things, so I am. Then like you, with one in my possession I too, can denounce all those opinions which differ from mine, as in need of 'some perspective', whilst promoting my own as unarguable fact. :)

And -

In your opinion - an opinion which on this occasion I don't happen to share in any way, shape, or form! :P

I don't know what's on the other channels at the same time (there's 'nothing' that would stop me from watching NGO anyway), but isn't Al Murray's new show on at the same time this Friday? Huh?

Well if Al Murray's sketch show is as awful as it sounds, then it shouldn't harm NGO too much. "Horst Schwull - Hitler's most trusted aide, who's just a little on the 'kamp' side..." - you telling me people are seriously interested in seeing that?

Remember when Al Murray use to be fairly funny?

I'm interested in seeing it!

It does, from the character pictures alone, look like a throwback to 70s/80s style sketch shows.

No; I must have blinked.

In a kind of watching a car wreck type way?

In a kind of watching a car wreck type way?

Surely you know Aaron better than that by now.

After seeing a clip on The One Show, I'm looking forward to seeing it even more.

And not car crash syndrome, no. :)
