Sorry for the confusion.
I DID mean why didn't I think of the JOKE, as , until now, I wasn't aware that such a torch existed.

Thanks, Mikey!

The Mrs has got a solar-powered torch-cum-vibrator ('scuse pun) which we use under the blankets. :O

I liked the feel of this, but in my opinion you need to create a distance from Brent. It did sound very like the first of the Christmas specials to me where he was trying to milk his 'fame'.

I'd keep his singing career in as, surely, being a an ex BB, he would do this.

Why? There aren't many ex BB contestants who have.

Okay, okay. What I meant was that an ex BB contestant who then fell on bad times would surely try his hand at anything, just to stay a celeb, i.e. pop career, book, presenter on a really late night text chat or phone-in show on an obscure satellite station, etc.

I thought the references to Brent earlier were to do with unlikeability and twattishness.
I never really watched The Office myself.

Haha I must have missed something here! The attempt at a singing career is a bit close I agree, might change it when I scrub it up a bit. An acting career is something I've thought about it, there are a lot of possibilities for embarrassing career choices with a premise like this I think.

Walk on parts in movies - Extras. just realised what I'd typed after I typed it, kind of thing.

I was being pretty specific. The scene with the window cleaners was classic Brent: tries to be matey with someone in an inappropriate fashion, they make it clear they think he's a dick but covertly as he has some power (Brent the boss, this guy the excessive payment). He is aware of this but decides to bluff it out with a comment which is supposed to assert his authority but falls flat. We know he looks like a twat and, very Office this, we know that he knows.

I'm not suggesting it is a steal, just that the voice is too easy to confuse with a strong character any potential commissioner is going to identify with.

There is definitely talent here and a very good premise, I think the comment earlier about moving to a more sitcom type setting might help in creating a more unique voice.

Thanks, Mikey!

Now I know what I'll get the other 'arf for her birthday! :P

Yeah, I see your point. Of peeps here can spot it, then there's good chance a producer would too.

Not really sure how NickTheDon could make the transcend from mockumentary to sitcom though with this premise.
Will be interesting to see how this progresses.
