I note they have a few establishments around San Antonio. All called the Lion & Rose?
Shame they don't Anglicize the spelling on their website, e.g favourite.

Sounds like the kinda place built into a giant Oak tree.

Yeah, it's a chain. Not the best pub I've ever seen, but the girls are cute and the food is good. It's one of the few places you can have a drink in a non-club atmosphere. There's usually an ex-pat or two at the bar.
This was my favorite pub.

They've since fired the founder after an ugly bit of business, so I no longer visit it when I'm back home in Florida. A shame, because it was a magical place.
I've heard that this place has taken over as the best pub in town:

It's a shame that a sleepy town of 15,000 people can have quality pubs, while I'm in a city of 2 million and can't find a decent place to have a pint. Orange County was even worse - 10 million people and every "pub" was a disappointment.
The Zingari - I went for a pint with my dad, it's possibly one of the most depressing pubs on earth- cheap drink but I could easily say I was the youngest person in there and everyone knew me (my dads local).
But it was so boring everyone was just talking about the whether and how they think they might die next week...

Thats good old fashioned bar fly talk.
I was at one of only a handful of Aussie bars on the west coast.
The Kangaroo and Kiwi (Seattle).

No it isn't you talk about boobs and funny sex words, like Teabagging...
If you don't know what it means here it is in a sentence:
Ellie enjoys being given a good teabagging.
It's only funny because it's true. Although, as my boyfriend is away, my mouth feels empty.
And considerably less hairy...

Your on about visitors. Bar flys the guys with red cheeks and noses who think the whole world is on swirling and go behind the bar to fix them selves drinks. usually 45 +
Last time I was in my local when I'm down in Brighton, The Bear, my housemate tried to work out how many penises it would take, taking every penis to be 6 inches big, to stretch all the way around the world.
We didn't get an answer sadly.
