Let's Dance For Comic Relief

I hate these TV talent show programmes, but I got a message this morning telling me it was worth Let's Dance For Comic Relief on iPlayer, so I did (admittedly fast forwarding through most of it)... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00hy0tg/

There were two comedy-related bits in this first show:

19:45 minutes in: Robert Webb doing an amazing dance. I won't spoil it by saying what.

1:21:40 minutes in: the first broadcast of the Gavin and Stacey music video, guest starring Tom Jones.

Next week: Jo Brand does Britney Spears.

I've got a better idea. Let's not dance for Comic Relief. In fact, let's not do anything for Comic Relief. I hate Comic Relief, and Red Nose Day in particular so much I cannot describe it.

That was good. I've always wished I could dance - I have trouble just walking.

It's gotta be better than Children in Need!

Well, I'm not a big fan of Children in Need either, but Red Nose Day in particular I loathe for several reasons.

It is mainly because of my Asperger's Syndrome. When you have Asperger's, you prefer everything the way it is. You don't like things to come out of the blue because it makes you uncomfortable and you start to panic. Therefore, the one thing you don't need is a day where everyone is encouraged to be funny, when in fact they just come across as a bunch of arseholes. It's been like that ever since my childhood.

Yes, but think of it from Pete Doherty's POV, an arsehole for 364 days of the year and normal for Comic Relief. Surely it's worth it just for that?

I don't think even Comic Relief would change Doherty.

I think he's into vigorous hand relief rather than Comic Relief.
