David Cameron? Page 2

Isn't that true of most modern politicians?

Yes very true indeed but as Curt was asking about DC I was confining my answer to my opinion of him. It's just that DC is so desperate for power that his keeness to jump aboard any populist bandwagon is painful to watch.

I don't doubt he'll get the keys to No 10 in a few years but God help us if he's the best we can do.

My personal view on politicians is one expressed so well by one Billy Connolly many years ago when he said:

"Don't vote for any of them as it only encourages them"

F**king Maclean's made him out to be this popular figure that every side (right and left) in the UK respected.
I should have known better.

They (Macleans) got it half right Curt.

:)

Cameron Camera off.

Dave's ( I call him Dave btw it's informal and I think he likes it) always ready for his close-up Mr DeMille - whether Cameron or Cameroff

Haha! Well the left definitely don't. The right are split, I suppose. Generally people are too obsessed with hating Gordon Brown (and rightly so) at the moment, in order to have thoughts - positive or negative - of anyone else. It sounds like this magazine of yours has probably talked him up a bit, but he's not the total opposite.

And local government officials/councillors. It's what quangos were designed for.

I likes me a good quango.

He may be Tory Blair, but fortunately he's against ID cards, so I hope he wins the next election. If Labour win again, it's time to emigrate as Britain is going to be seriously f**ked.

Hey, you're not Jim Davidson are you BD?

Laughing out loud

No, not a Tory like him, I hate all politicians. But to spare us the horror of another 4/5 years of unfettered Labour new fascism then you have to go with the alternative.

Have the Tories laid out an alternative to New labour? I must have missed that.

Where would you emigrate to?

I mean in terms of who forms a Government, it is down to Labour or Conservative. It's one or the other.

Yes, but they're largely interchangeable. Although for what it's worth, I think Gordon Brown has as much chance of winning the next election as Jade Goody celebrating Christmas.

I don't know. Where's good? Somewhere the Government doesn't clamp down on you, the weather is nice and the crime is low.
