I've never understood why people feel the need to announce that they are leaving a public forum. With all respect to this website, I see it as one of many that I enjoy visiting, but I don't feel like I have a personal relationship with it that needs to be formally ended when I'm a bit fed up.

Certainly, Tim seems a nice chap, polite and well wishing and all that. So it may be that one of us has said something that might... just possibly, have led him to feel a little unloved.
Well if that is the case I want who ever it is to apologise now to Tim, because quite frankly it's not on to take the piss with little consequences for anyone's feelings. Please can you check all your posts to see if you have written anything that may have caused offence and post here as I am looking for new material.
