Any chance this will ever be released on Blu-ray like Extras The Special? That would be great.

Should be one day in the future, it looks great in HD

Laughing out loud Jeez I noticed that too! They never shut that freaking door! I kept pointing it out but people around me weren't too bothered. It just smacks of a studio and loses a sense of realism and authenticity for me.

I can promise you'll see the door closed at least once in next week's episode. ;) *chuckles to self knowingly* Laughing out loud

Oh the tension!!!!

Only 3.2 million for Not Going Out on Friday. Such a shame that this brilliant comedy isn't doing better.

3.2m? Three point f**king two??? Truly, I am shocked!

Shocked, I tell you.

Especially as BARB has rated the inferior (IMO), The Old Guys in at 18th place for BBC One only programmes for w/e 1st Feb with 5.1M !!!

Not Going Out wasn't even in the game - not even in the top 30 - God knows where it ended up with only 3.2m I was prepared to bet loads of money that Not Going Out would trump The Old Guys easily.
As in, Piece'o'piss - foregone conclusion. Well, that's my world turned upside down, inside out. It really is true - nobody knows nuthin'.

I blame that Hadron Collider thing in Switzerland - nothing's been the same since it malfunctioned.

And Not Going Out actually got less than Life Of Riley which got 4 million and The Green Green Grass which got 3.7 million on Thursday night. Not Going Out is just waiting to be discovered and perhaps should go out on a different night.

Oh for f**k's sake!

I feel your pain. :(

I think this show is waiting to be discovered. It only gets around 3 million and it deserves more viewers.

Have to say I'm a little surprised, that seems quite low for a BBC1 sitcom. Have all three series had similar ratings, or is this a drop?

I think 3 million is pretty much what the last series got as well.

Yeah, 3 million was the usual for series 1 & 2.

I'm not sure but I think it gets recomissioned not only because it's good but because it reaches a lot of younger viewers too.

Life of Riley is just utter balls, how it got more viewers I will never know.

I can't wait for this Friday's episode...especially with all the hints flying around :]

On the viewing figures thing. I'm sure how they get calculated but I would think that this sitcom is aimed at the 18 to mid 30s age bracket. Many of whom would be out getting pissed and trying to get laid at 9.30 of a Friday evening.

It deserves more and it's a shame it can't be sandwiched between some more successful shows to get sampled by a larger audience.

So true. Not Going Out's core audience probably is going out. Thursdays might be better.

As a fluctuator on this show. (Don't worry missus you can't be had up for it. Noooo - yess, oh please yourselves!)

I thought that this week's episode, although decent enough, was nowhere near as sharp as the previous week's one and that the overall premise (male Lesbian fantasy overload ooh err!) was a bit weak and shaky to sustain the entire 30 mins.

It felt to me more like a story strand, or subplot if you will, spun out to fill the entire episode.

I had Sky plussed it and Missus B actually requested that we put it on - and like myself she too had been a poo-poo-er only a few short weeks ago.

So them writers must be heaving huge sighs as Blenkinsops X 2 are slowly but surely being drawn into their crazy comedic wacky world.
