Mock

Hi. Does anyone know of any mockumentaries (TV or film) in which the subject converses two-way with the crew/director/whatever... I don't mean the subject responding to questions posed off-camera in a talking head way, but where someone from the the crew actually comes into the narrative, at least verbally. Any ideas?

Spinal Tap?

Man Bites Dog?

Good film.

Confetti - Not a good film.

Did 24 Hour Party People do it too?

Did People Like Us have that? Certainly Chris Langham's documentary team on one episode of Happy Families did.

In the first season of Trailer Park Boys the boom-mike guy got shot.
Another time the camera guy was told to help them carry weed when the cops were onto them.
It was all very funny stuff.
Trailer Park boys was way ahead of the pack when it came to Mocumentary TV.

I thought it was a common technique?

We're using it in a trial attempt at the mockumentary genre that we're finishing off. We were aware of the technique from Trailer Park Boys but doesn't Operation Good Guys do it too? As did the Brydon series where he and his co-star are different people in each episode? Forget the name of it... was People like us similar too?
