That's good to know.
He sort of pulled out a map and pointed to the edge of London and said "Thames is the area you would probably be staying, that's where I live" following with a string 'chip chip' and 'cheerio' I jest
The guy I was talking to was actually British. I was just trying to read the guy's truth for other stuff he was saying.

Are you moving to London there Curt? My neighbor left this week to teach in Napel. When he told me the pay scale I was amazed. He commited to two years.

Considering it. Weighing my options right now.

Thanks for the info, Doc. I will keep them in mind. I already help out a few vet charities.

Whaddya know, it's noon on Friday and I find myself at the pub.

Roo has won something in the work tombola but won't know what it is til next week.

:O Woo!? Or possibly not I s'pose.

Check it out on Google Maps, that will give travel routes and estimated times.

http://maps.google.co.uk/

It says:

Slough to Charing Cross 42 minutes

I dunno. I hope it's not the champers and chocs. My eyes are on the tub of heart throbs.

Question:
I was just chatting with a recruiter for the London School board and he was trying to tell me that if I lived at the edge of London (Thames area) it only takes him 13 minutes to drive to the London Downtown core.
True? or is he totally bullshitting me because they're desperate for teachers?

Which edge of London? The Thames flows right through it, from west to east. What's "Downtown"? Where are the schools exactly? What times of day would you be travelling? Would you be prepared to use public transport?

And considering that the London School Board was abolished 107 years ago, what organisation is this guy from exactly?

Spoil sport! :P

Tee hee. Pleased

I just stepped outside for the first time today. My nose tells me that the stuff the neighbor has been spreading on his lawn all day is manure-based. Sick

Roscoff went for a walk to the top of the mountain he lives below (I am by the way, not a troll) this morning and at one point was knee deep in powder snow. It was snowy. Eh?

The Gwent valleys (Twm Barlwm 'tis called) about 8 miles from the Slaggs as it happens.
