Points are awarded on a combination of the number of viewings and, I believe, star ratings also.
I started there last Novemebr and got quite addicted to it for a while. I did nearly 400 in a shortish period of time. On a good day I was having thousands of viewings. I only do the odd one now but it's good fun and I also believe that it's good practice for meeting self-imposed dealines and honing one's writing skills.
