Further education...of sorts

Is any one taking hands on classes just for the fun of it kind of sorta?

In two weeks I am taking a course on artistic welding. I am so excited about this. I get to where the mask thingie and make art.

I was inspired to take course by this piece.

My friend is taking it with me too. She is very talented but has never moved in to the arts and has only sketched.

even though her boyfriend says we are crazy and thinks the class is a waste of time and got cranky with us about it. I shall not get her involved in much more because he is not liking the time we spend together boooo hooo.

Cool art and cool idea.

It seems most are not that excited. We are the only two signed up. The teacher said he would still have it for us even though he expected 10.

Yep, cool idea. I'd like to try my hand at a few things, but fear the costs involved.

Cool I'm doing a radio comedy course, I suspect I'm to dangerous for artisitc welding

kick ass that sounds fun. I created a radio project for my class. They have not done it yet though. They need to write a script, gather the sound effects needed and record themselves.
I gave them the option of using the schools old tape recorders or using an audio recording program on a computer.
But I'm sure your class is much cooler than my project for a bunch of sixteen year old kids.

I would loooove to do some more art courses.

I did a painting one a few years ago, because even though I draw and stuff I've never really been able to paint.
(Still can't. But it was fun.)

Capitals please Curt. You've started doing this recently for no apparent reason.

Yea I'm the same way. I'm planning on shelling out a few bucks to take a painting course in case students want to learn painting in my classes (which I'm sure many will want to do). I won't be an expert but at least I'll be able to steal a few pointers from my future painting teacher.
