Well having naturally kinky hair and dark skin is rather harder to change. That said Gordon Brown is entirely to blame for looking like a melted, baggy face Shrek clone. Jeez get that man a balaclava.

The tennis player in question was most likely Jo Wilfried Tsonga. Look him up in Google Images and see if you think he bears any resemblance to the golliwog off the Robertson's jam label.

Hint: if you think he does, you may be suffering from Thatchervision.

He's rather handsome, she is something of a dick.

She may have saved her job had she apologised when asked to - but she didn't. (At least, that's what I inferred from what's been reported.)

I agree with Griff up until the last line which is about a year out of date. If you want a job with security became Prime Minister and never hold an election.

If that's the case she cut her own throat. No organisation tolerates people disregarding their policies and procedures. If she refused to apologise and they accepted that they'd be endorsing her.
Jonathon grovelled and grovelled.

All I can say is the lesson for today is no one's job's secure check out your organisations policies and be careful.

Mind how you go.

There appears to be a misapprehension that Carol Thatcher has been sacked by the BBC. She hasn't. She still keeps her 'jobs' with the BBC.

She's been removed from one paticular show which she appears on occasionally. All her other contracts with the BBC remain in place. In fact, either today or tomorrow, (I forget which), she starts filming a BBC programme. The BBC are quite happy about that.

Jonathan Ross was suspended from ALL work with the BBC. Carol Thatcher has been removed from one programme only (no pun intended). If she continues to refuse to apologise fully, it won't affect the rest of her contract work with the BBC. Hardly what you'd call 'learning a lesson' is it?

So what's going on? I think Bandage's skit on the sketch thread 'Wascist' comes closer to the truth. Prince Phillip has made it his lifetime's work to get off scott free after making racist comments. Prince Harry has got off scott free too. Carol Thatcher? Well she talks with a plummy, RP accent doesn't she? And if not considered upper class is definitely not considered to be working class in roots either, so she escapes almost scott free (I wouldn't be surprised to see her back on The One Show in the long term; probably doing a piece on racism in the workplace).

Jade Goody on the other hand, has made comments no worse than the foregoing three - but she is most definitely working class, so that couldn't be allowed to pass unchallenged. Questions were raised in Parliament. Government discussions were held, and an international spat ensued. Wouldn't have happened to that degree if she were royalty or upper class. Give it till March and everyone will have to be reminded that Carol Thatcher once said something unsavoury in early February. I'm absolutely certain the 'incident' will be forgotten, and Carol Thatcher will appear on our screens as much as ever without enduring anything like the suspension Ross had to 'endure'.

The Royal family and the law has and always be a sticky area and a good reason for having a republic. Harry was reprimanded and punished within his unit as a soldier, for such a small infraction seems fair. Philip, what you going to do? Sack him?
I was more concerned that Anne's vicious f**king dog got to live.

Jade carried out a rather unpleasant bit of racist, gang bullying, it was one of the ugliest things on TV for some time. It wasn't one remark by a silly, overpriveleged media face.

Well, if she'd said he reminded her of a gorilla or Muhammad Ali, I'd understand. But then out of the context of the conversation, we're in no place to judge whether her opinion was correct or not.

And how was Prince Harry punished? Did he have to forgo sugar in his cuppa for one day? Or was he punished more severely; did he have to forgo a biccy with his cuppa also?

Yes - but it's really the principle of the ... disciplinary measures at hand, surely?

Everyone seems to overlook the fact that Jade Goody actually said very little, and that the majority of the abuse came from ... thingy from S Club 7, and that vile creature I regularly see adorning the front of mens' magazines. Jade was the trashy-tabloid babe at the time, so it was her who got the most criticism.

As far as I know the same as any other serving soldier. You know in fairness he seems to genuinely want to serve in the army and shuns media attention. You can't beat him up for media obsessions.

In fairness they both got into real trouble, lost contracts etc, and Danielle thingy was dumped by her boyfriend. She just had nicer tits and more persistence then Jade. Both said alot of stuff that Channel 4 edited out.

And what about Jade is going through now? Is this a brave attempt to share and educate about cancer? Or is this just terminal narcissism?

I honestly don't know.

In all likelihood, a bit of both. But one would hope that the former would emerge from it.

I'm not ganging just posing a question about a major news story. I don't know what she's thinking, but I'm interested in the story.

Quote: Griff @ February 4 2009, 5:53 PM GMT

Yeah, let's all gang up and take the piss out of someone dying of terminal cancer. Aren't we f**king great.

No, it doesn't sound like it. Teary
