Do you not have a peephole thingy in your door, or anything of that ilk, to see who is on the other side?

I have a security system that my dad messed about with it and made it worse.
The security company who put it in is bankrupt and no longer in business.
Now I have man who has to drive two hours to come and look about in the mean time I like Roscoff's idea.

My house was built in 1852 and the addition was added in 1872. I live in a historical district and I have to abide by historical district rules. I do not mind that because I like preserving it.
I'd have gone, I wouldn't have made the reserve and been perfectly safe. Or telephone bid for myself.
