Dr Terrible's House of Horrible

I was going through the list of D's while making my region 1 list and came across a show called "Dr Terrible's House of Horrible" staring Steve Coogan. I've seen a few clips and thought they were pretty funny. And I love the idea of a horror comedy.
Anyone see it?

I remember watching it when it was first on TV.
I didn't think it was that bad, but I only watched one or two episodes.

It's good but suffered at the time from coming out when people were thinking of his better known characters. Definitely worth a watch, more of a loving pastiche of golden area British horror. So it's more a satisfying good time, then punch the air and hoot with laughter.

A lot like Darkplace thematically.

It was ok. Nothing special.

I have the DVD, it's ok if you like that sort of thing.

And, luckily, I do.

I like it.

As your signature would suggest.

Cool I really want to watch it now. It's going on my "to purchase list"
Thanks!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that!

I think it was on during the period in which I had sold my old house and still not moved into my new one, so I was living with my Grandma. Was it on by any chance as part of the great Monday night comedy night? I remember the first series of the Kumars was on, I think this followed and following this was a great forgotten comedy quiz show called Liar. (Does anyone remember it?) It was like Would I Lie To You, what would happen was they'd get hold of five people and one of them would have a claim to fame (for example a Senagalese Prince) and the other four would also make up titles and it was up to the studio audience to pick which one was telling the truth. Does anyone remember it? From memory, it came on after Dr Terrible's House Of Horrible.

I thought it was rotten which, as a fan of horror and comedy, really disappointed me at the time. Perhaps I need to give it a second viewing...

Paul Kaye hosted a 'Liar' show, perhaps that was the one.
It wasn't bad, but It could get ruined if the truth teller got voted off too early in the show.

I LOVE that. I wish they'd done more. Really captured the feel of the Hammer & AIP pictures. They even did a process to give the piece those saturated reds like you get with Eastmancolor.

On a separate note. Did anyone else see the Hammer Films Exhibit that they had in London in the late 90's? They had some great stuff, Peter Cushing's sketch book, the model for Castle Dracula, white dress from Lust for a Vampire, and...Dracula's cape and signet ring. There's much more, but I can't list...or remember everything. I found it difficult to pull myself away. :S

This was co-written by Graham Duff (Ideal) who is a very classy writer. One episode had Ronni Ancona pre nosejob as a lusty vampire if I remember rightly.

I've already set my Sky+ for Corden and Horne bum each other. I don't have Sky+.
