What can we expect from the Extras Xmas special?

It seems that Extras is getting a two episode finale like The Office.

What will happen to Andy Millman in these shows? Remember he was a struggling extra in the first series, trying to get a line of dialogue. In the second series he had become a Bafta-award-winning-writer, able to buy a £2000 dress for his friend. What can we expect from the last two shows?

Logic dictates that he will have become controller of BBC2, but I think Ricky will wrong foot us and do something cleverer than that.

I must admit I am sooo confused as to whether there is going to be one or two final specials. Ricky Gervais keeps contradicting himself - one minute he's saying "specials" next he is saying "special". I think there's just one as it happens.

Good question though Godot - um... I dunno. I think Andy will return back to his old life. He doesn't seem to be enjoying the pressures that come with fame. That said, he can't really become an extra now can he. Er... so, no idea!

Perhaps, in a spooky re-enaction of RG's own life, Andy will be off to Hollywood.

Maybe he'll get killed in an horrific and highly tragic pyrotechnics accident on set.

Well, one can hope.

;)

He'll go for the old Tim&Dawn - Andy&Maggie but at the last second twist it around and kill em both off or something?

Or he'll become the big headed celebrity, talking down to extras.

My money's on him copping out and breaking America then he can have all his buddies in it like Larry David and Christopher Guest

Maybe a decline into panel game shows and reality shows before obscurity and a realisation that life is better without fame after all.

Crikey... all that fat! He'd burn for hours...

Laughing out loud

What can we expect? Hmm...

-Lots of high profile celebrities being cast in before he's even written them a part
-Andy says something offensive in front of a minority (but he doesn't mean to be offensive)
-Maggie does something stupid that again gets Andy into trouble
-Darren and Barry will be the best thing in it

Maybe that's just me being my cynical self, maybe he will surprise me and do something completely different. :)

Maybe he'll become an agent.

A secret agent?

Maybe he'll be in a brand new "Flanimals" film (that insane book that RG did)
and take Hollywood by storm... then become king of the world... and start his very own comedy channel... called "Office's Extra's Flanimal Channel of Comedy"
then relax in his very own internet coffee come internet cafe bars... or it might just be a funny festive treat... for everyone to enjoy... la la la la ding dong merry merry

I actually think Ajp's right and he will show Millman 'breaking' America. Gervais and Merchant are the arch exponents of the 'write what you know' school.

I don't know who dreamed up that piece of wisdom, but a writer shouldn't always draw so closely on his own life in my opinion.

Shakespeare didn't write many plays about a bald geezer who worked in a theatre, did he?

It appears that Adam is getting credit where credit is not due... ;)

Curse you... *shakes fist*
