Funny there chip, but being old in years and old in mind are two different things.

Snow= bad day at work. I hate it.
Quote: Aaron @ February 2 2009, 1:53 AM GMTVery deep, and still falling pretty heavily here, but I must be off for some sleepy time. Hope it's still around when I wake up!
It's not only still around, but it's still falling. Looks like the best part of a foot deep.
Snow is cool but I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere today. And it's not deep enough to build a snowman, sledge on or lose a Hamster in.

And I f**king hate this snow - I nearly skidded out as I went to work.
I'm like 2 years older than you, and I love the snow.
Defintely don't like it now. As I was coming in just there was a field and in the corner a group of cows all mooing unhappily at me, as if to say, "Please Chipolata, take us into the warm office with you."
Or "Please Chipolata, turn us into beefburgers so we can be nice and warm over a roasty hot flame."

Yum.
Quote: Dr Mato @ February 2 2009, 10:31 AM GMTWhat is wrong with some of you people? Carrying on over 3 inches of snow?
3" of snow might not be much where you are, but when it snows for perhaps just a couple of days a year, and generally not very heavily and doesn't settle, it's a lot.
Although these are special cows that will never be eaten.

Space Cows?
Oh what a useless transport system we have here in London, UK.
Three to nine inches of snow and almost all of the buses are withdrawn, just when you most need them (have they not heard of snow chains) and most of the Underground has delays and problems..
Yet 'we' keep getting encouraged to use public transport !!!
This page lets you see through London traffic cameras http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/road/default.asp
And this is the one nearest me at the exit from the North Circular; but it
seems to have snow over its lens and you can only see a blur at the moment.
Snow is poo as it made my 45-minute bus journey into work last 90 minutes. On the upside, I've forged lifelong friendships with the people I met on the bus this morning.
And if I hear one more person say, "Ooh, it's cold," I'll get really cross. I know it's cold. It's bloody snowing.

Didn't it snow in Lost once? And it's warm where they are.

It's all right. I've checked and apparently Lost isn't a documentary, so it turns out I am right.
Mind you, if it was a documentary we'd know if they'd got off the island as there'd be filmed evidence. So, y'know, swings and roundabouts.
