(I never really understood that one. If you're going to commit suicide, why would you give a flying f**k if it's legal or not?)

Yeah, same here. I've always thought people wanting to commit suicide should go out in a blaze of glory - robbing a bank, doing a risky SAS mission or something.
Take the bank idea: if they get killed during the hold-up then they'd be dead like they wanted to. But, if they get away with it the money would probably change their mind about leaving.
I think it's something to do with the close link (former) between the Church and Politics... i.e. it's a crime to do evil (killing) against oneself.
Doesn't make as much sense today, does it?

P.S. Its not illegall to commit suicide but it is illegal to help someone commit suicide or enter into a suicide pact.

Also you don't get any insurance money. I know that YOU wouldn't get it but neither would your dependents. OK if you hate them I suppose.
Actually that's a good way to get back at them isn't it. Kill yourself and they're buggered!
Incidentally I too am bloody glad. I hate her stuff and I don't really know why because I love Little Britain and Karen Taylor (much more fanciable)
