Calling Cock-en-ees

Does anyone know the origin of the Cockney(?)term "Drum" as used in Minder "Im going back to my drum Tel", meaning house or flat etc?

Is it rhyming slang? Cos if it is I can't work it out and I've often wondered what its origins are you see.

It's one I've debated with friends for a number of years. The best one I came up with is Drum Kit - Pit. I was born in 'Arrow mind you.

I'm usually pretty up on rhyming slang, but can't for the life of me remember. I'm going to have to dig out my old Sweeney annual which had a whole feature on rhyming slang.
