Rejection Letters are Intrinsically Funny

Anyone had one of these? -

'Dear Mr. Carpark,

Thank you for your script 'Shut Yer Mum'. We found the plot to be well written, the characters likeable and engaging, the dialogue hilariously funny and naturalistic and the ending was both unexpected and satisfying.

However, it's not for us at this time.'

I could understand that reply if I'd sent the script to the Fishing Channel or Sky Sports or Bang Babes, but to get that kind of reply from a major broadcaster or production company is baffling.

Please post your oxy moronic rejection replies here and the reasons they gave for not proceeding with it further.

That's quite unbelievable. Literally.

I got one that said :

'Thank you for the opportunity to read your manuscript, unfortunately we do not publish books for children at this time.'

It was a book for adults.

Makes you wonder, would it be better first to run the initial idea past production companies prior to actually writing it, just to find out if it's what they're after.

After all you could pour hours into something only to find out no matter how good it is, or who you sent it to, they're not interested simply 'cos it's not what they're looking for at the mo'.
