Watching the sun go down with a beer in one's hand is not nearly as enjoyable from the couch as it is from a chair on the deck. Stupid cold front. 
They say bridges and overpasses may be iced over in the morning. Not good news for someone who spent most of his life in south Florida.

Just stepped outside to get the mail and saw 3 emergency vehicles parked across the street. They were unloading a stretcher to haul away my neighbor, I suppose. I hope it's nothing serious.
There was an ambulance, an EMS truck and what appeared to be an undercover police car. It was a freaking Hummer with hidden blue & red lights. I took a photo; I'll post it if it came out ok.
One of my neighbours died recently.
