WTF? Page 2

I had some Lemsips during my last cold and I'm sure they helped.

There is no magical cold remedy. We have antibodies for such occasions.

Lemsip doesn't claim to cure colds. But it is proven to alleviate symptoms (e.g. analgesic, decongestant) and no doctor worth their NaCl would say vitamin C is a bad thing for someone with a cold or flu to take.

Anyway, I would suggest alcohol every time. (Dosage to taste.)

I would tend to agree.

Is it a Tim Vine joke? Anyway, man goes to the doctor's, doc says you've got hypochondria, man says "not that as well".

Lemsip makes my throat hurt less when I have a sore throat.

Maybe it has some numbing qualities or something.

Honey and lemon in hot water is supposed to do the same. But that doesn't taste as nice.

Try to avoid doing the things that give you a sore throat ;)

Honey & lemon in hot water doesn't taste as nice, so mix it with alcohol :)

I don't recall drinking any of that stuff and feeling better any time soon. I reckon it's all placebo for those that do - tastes full of chemicals and uses natures natural cure, lemon. Brilliant.

If it works, use it!

Couldn't care less if it's the drink working, or my brain.
