Weirdest Dreams Page 8

You're right to an extent, like I said.

But everyone (with some exceptions, evidently) has the dream that they are falling, and then they wake up with a jolt.

What on earth does that have to do with 18 certificate films and video games?

In fact I think they mentioned it on QI once and someone said it was something to do with when we slept in trees... or something.

That's the sort of thing I'm referring to. Not disturbing dreams or scary ones influenced by exposure to violence or horror.

Yeah I know. It's also one of the things I'm referring to.

For once, you are wrong.

There's a reason for age ratings on video games and films. And that's why I'm the only one here not disturbed in the head; my parents stuck to them.

Well I've been having these dreams all my life and for most of my life computer games where big squares firing little squares which exploded with a farty noise into even smaller squares.

How on earth could a computer game or film make you unable to run in a dream?

Teary yes

Aw.

Quote: Aaron @ January 25 2009, 5:37 PM GMT

I knew you'd say that. :D

Knew I'd say whaaaaat?

Ian was right, it is pick on zooo day.

Surely you've seen films where someone is just unable to escape something, no matter how hard they try or what they do? Same principle, surely?

Gavin, not you.

I would have thought the filmmakers got that idea from the dreams, not the other way around, although of course I'm sure there's also a bit of both.

Gavin, not you.

Ahh. :)

I think most of us remmeber computer games when they were little squares that made pop noises. The game industry isnt that old. Only lat 17-18 years odd the games have been getting more realistic

Yeah but I'm not sure Aaron would remember those days.

How old is he? 20 odd surely?

Well I'm just saying I don't really know what his life experiences are. There's a 10 year gap between us, and when I was say 20 games were starting to come along.

I'm old enough to remember Atari. I was obsessed with the Mrs Pacman table game they had at the local bar my dad would take me too when I was a kid.

We got one of those in my local.

Your Dad took you to a bar. Another example of what I'm talking about. :)

So whats wrong with that? Bars aren't all seedy watering holes. Unimpressed

During the day he'd take me there on the weekends. It's where all him and his buddies with their own children would go to get together. Usually in the afternoon. I don't know if anyone was really drinking during that time. More socializing.
