Weirdest Dreams Page 6

I bob about, floating at around ceiling height. Is fun.

I fly in my dreams too but not in the Peter Pan sense. I actually swim through the air or lie on my back and 'tread' air like water to rise upwards.
:O

That's really common I think. Like the sensation of running away from something but it's like running in water and you find it really difficult to move.

You're all really odd.

I find it bizarre that everyone has exactly the same kinds of dreams.
How is that possible?

I was just mulling over the same thing. It is really very strange.

Well, ALMOST everyone!

Duh. You all watch the exact same films, TV programmes, and probably listen to simiilar music.

Doesn't take a psychologist to work out.

Laughing out loud Aaron is the winner.

That certainly accounts for silly dreams about clowns chasing us and stuff!

But I mean the common dreams that everyone all over the world has, ie, running away from something but not being able to move your legs. And that one where you are falling and wake up just before you land.

Same thing. Similar or identical life experiences and media consumption logging in your subconscious.

I think it'll be weirder if we didn't.

No I don't think it is. Not for the things zooo's talking about, I can't really see how you would link those types to social influences.

I watched a whole program on Sleep Paralysis. It was really cool. I watched it twice actually when it played again. It's actually a medical condition that has haunted people for a long time. Check out the painting called "The Nightmare"

It represents the feeling of someone pressing down on your chest and shortness of breath. A common occurrence during sleep paralysis. People used to think it was a possession but really your breathing slows down when you sleep. What's happening (from what I remember from the documentary) is that your mind has suddenly become conscience but you are still in a state of sleep; your breathing is still slowed and your body is still relaxed but your brain can't make the connection because it's still in a way dreaming.
It happened to me once and I thought I was having a heart attack! It freaked the hell out of me.

Yeah I have that a few times a year.

I'm sure it's only the tiniest things that make us different from each other, like are tastes in food, clothes, ect. These are what builds are personality and makes us individual. But anything else is us just being human, with our instincts n that.

Shit, I thought this was from the Kama Sutra. No wonder I only ever get the one date.
