Anyone played Bioshock?
I've just finished it, and I like it best out of all of the games I've got; Assassin's Creed, Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: World at War.
I'm new to console gaming (christmas) but I'm generally finding that all the games are essentially the same game, with different textures on the polygons. Bioshock managed to make me lose that notion a little. There's also something satisfyingly mental about shooting a woman you've never met who keeps shouting "I told you not to come back here." I also like the way the characters look like they're made from lead with the paint chipping off.
World at War was unbelievably tedious considering the subject matter and where were the British campaigns? At least for some of it you play as a Russian soldier. I notice too that there isn't a level where you drop a hydrogen bomb on Hiroshima.
David Bussell rates Fallout 3 very highly, and I think he's right, but I still find it too depressing to play for very long, and I live in South London.

Assassin's Creed sucked the big one I thought. So repetitive, and what's with the whole future business? Who was it decided the setting the game was based in wasn't interesting enough that it needed that? The only reason the game generated as much interest as it did was because they trotted out some bit of fluff to do all their promo.
Bioshock was great but a tad too short for my liking. Great atmosphere though. It even had a twist I didn't see coming (perhaps because I've come not to expect much plot from my video games).
Fallout 3 was my favourite of the bunch, though you're right, it could do with a tad more humour. Apparently previous instalments traded in the silliness a bit more. You make your own fun though. I laughed like a drain when I wiped out every inhabitant of Megaton with my Chinese Assault Rifle then atomised their town for good measure.
Yo! I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas...well...actually it was a wedding gift from a friend who didn't really understand what a wedding gift should be but either way I GOT A 360!
If anyone wants to game it up some time my gamer tag is VandeAwesome
I play Gears of War 2 online the most.
Other games I play are Lego Indiana Jones and Mass Effect but those games don't have online capability.
As do I curt, as do I...

Part of the fun for me with Bioshock was counting the movies it cannibalised (in a good way). The animal masks and the odour of 1920s hotel sex parties is straight out of The Shining. The splicer back flips and and talking is Blade Runner. The mad artist who makes art out of living people - Logan's Run etc. It is short though, but all the xbox games I've played have seemed short, coming from PC games.
I have a soft spot for Assassin's Creed despite the repetitiveness because the promo is the whole reason I considered buying an xbox, and the ability to just randomly run around and climb things appeals to me greatly. The promo includes two things that you can't do in the game that would have lifted it in my view - assassinate outside and ride your horse into town. Still, it has satisfied my long held desire to have taken part in the crusades.
I'm probably not deep enough into Fallout to really enjoy it yet. Things have looked up a little since I got the 'bloody mess' perk. I'm also pretty shit at it - for example I swam into Rivet city, got attacked by mirelurks, drowned swam in again and then found there was way no way to progress in the game without going ashore and entering the correct way over the bridge. I also picked ridiculous facial hair for my character which makes him look utterly pathetic when he dies. I'm also slightly put off by the elongated look of people in the game. If El Greco had become a games designer, he would have worked on Fallout 3. Talking of which, have you considered working in the games industry?

Sorry Curt, I refuse to play any character who wears a do rag.
There's only one character wearing a do rag!
That's one too many - don't you have to play as him?
WTF is a do rag?
Are there any PS3ers out there?
F**k.Ing.Hell. I iz wid Godot.

If they bring the price down, maybe?
In the campaign sure. But it's the online play that's the best part for me.
For me I need either a long game like an RPG or a game with really good online play.
Don't get me wrong though the campaign for GW2 was awesome! I hadn't enjoyed a campaign for a Shooter that much since Halo 1. But it still wouldn't be worth buying when you can rent it and beat it after 10 hours of play. But the online has given me an unlimited supply of gaming fun.
I reeeeeeeally want the new Fallout but I can't afford it right now being in the middle of school. That's a game I'll buy for sure. Tons and tons of game play!
Assassin's Creed was fun but I got a little tired of it too. I'll have to try it again though as I never got a chance to finish it. Great game overall though I thought.

Headwear used to cover a man's baldness and let them think they're still young and hip...when they are in fact over or nearing 40.

No only a vigil for their lost and wasted money.
Have you played Gears 2 yet Godot? Now THAT is a damn fine game.
