Should I intervene...? Page 2

You're probably right. I'd like to start my fighting education small, with children, then after a while I'll feel confident enough to tackle adults with learning difficulties.

Having worked in challenging needs and special educational needs, those are some hombres.

Love it. F**king wankers!

I believe the man punching was the Polish primeminister and the woman the minister for agriculture.

Better to be a coward for a moment than a dead hero for the rest of your life.
:)

True!

I would have done the same as you Chip, no doubt. There was a man in Norwich last year who intervened when he saw a fight, he got beaten to death. What's the point?! It was only a bag.

Personally I'm not going to risk my life for a mobile phone, credit cards and some johnnies.
If it was more serious I'd call the police first announce that loudly and hope it worked.
I'm not agressive in real life at all and I run slowly enough that a one legged chav could probably kick my arse.
Now if this was the US you might have had a gun and then you could have shot him, if it was Israel you could have borrowed a civil defence Uzi and Iraq you could have had a suicide belt to blow both of you up.

More seriously even the scrawniest chav with a knife can end your life.

But even if you had have intervened what thanks would you have got? F**k all probably.

You don't do it for thanks though. You do it because is right thing to do surely?

No, you do it for thanks and possible cash reward.

Well from a Marxist point of view all property is theft, so nobody stole anything.

It's refreshing to hear an unselfish viewpoint like that. Fair play to you.

Awesome Nils!

Thanks Griffs! ;)

Why does everyone always do that?

Quote: chipolata @ January 20 2009, 11:01 AM GMT

Last night I was walking past the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton when I noticed a guy swearing his head off down the street, and running towards me a chav clutching a bag. Clearly he'd just snatched it off the guy and was doing a runner. I thought about attempting to stop the guy but didn't, just let him run past. Was this the right thing to do, or cowardly inaction?

And more broadly speaking, should we intervene if we see trouble?

What the hell's a man doing with a bag?
