But I did read James Boswell's Life Of Samuel Johnson from cover to cover and it is a cracking read. Sex, violence, and lexicography with a side order of sizzling hot gypsies.
I still reckon the most boring thing I've ever persevered with was Edgar Allan Poe's Tales Of Mystery And Imagination. That book must be the reason they invented the Trades Descriptions Act.
