Weird things you have read about. Page 47

After reading this gushing piece of tripe on CNN, I can only hope that the media's infatuation with Obama quickly returns to the state of open hostility that normally keeps both the president and the writers in check.

President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural address Tuesday is one of the most anticipated speeches in decades, with some expecting his words to be chiseled into marble some day.

I reckon it will!
Give it a couple of months.

Yes, I enjoy seeing justice in action. I would feel differently about them if they'd raped and disfigured Osama bin Laden, for example.
;)

Seeing as your government trained and funded him it wouldn't be fair for them to shell out on top of that for the cost of the electricity.

A common misconception. American and Pakistani intelligence services deny that any training or funding of Arabs took place during the war in Afghanistan. Even al Qaeda officials say it never happened and it's probably the only subject you'll ever get all 3 parties to agree upon.

Al Qaeda officials lol!
Next you'll be telling me there's a spokesperson for Gumdrop forest.

I believe Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama bin Laden are about as close to an official as you can find.

Now Obama is messing with my lunch schedule!!! Angry

The All-Hands Meeting on Tuesday will be delayed by 15 minutes (from 12 noon EST to 12:15 EST) to allow employees to observe the Inauguration of the President which is also at 12 noon EST.

Al Qaeda does not exist. It does not exist.

It is a f**king blatent neo-con invisible/undefeatable threat that will enable western powers to breech human rights, start wars, invade coutries, f**k us all over, for years and years to come.

Oh, you're one of them. :S

Sometimes things just aren't the way you want them to be, no matter how hard you wish it were true.

Yes, I am intelligent, and I have eyes, I see your point.
Your avatar is kind of appropriate sometimes ;)

Are you a Truther, too?

A what?

Truther

Noun- One who rejects the accepted explanation of the events of 9/11. Truthers generally believe the U.S. government committed the acts of terrorism against itself.

I haven't seen enough evidence to solidly discredit either scenario to be honest. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. I like to feel certain before I make my mind up about anything - I mean certain because the facts I have seen make sense and don't seem majorly flawed. I certainly would never be happy just lapping up everything the state and media told me. You know, politicians really have lied before, as weird and far fetched as that may sound.

But anyway, if these doubters exist can it really be called an 'accepted' explanation?

Poor old Bin Laden you support a violent insurgency in 3 countries, fund several large scale terrorist outrages and a dozen more failed ones.

And people still say you don't exist.

The people who don't accept it tend to be the type who sport tinfoil hats.

If you're inclined to believe that thousands of politicians, businessmen, soldiers and other "neocons" could secretly conspire together to pull off something as big as 9/11 and the war in Iraq, perhaps you should also consider that a bunch of Islamic fundamentalist terrorists could conspire together to form something like al Qaeda.
