Formating of Radio Script

Hi all,

A quick question if I may. I'm looking at having a blast at a radio sitcom and not being familiar with formating issues headed off to the writersroom.

The only script they have on there for radio sitcom is the above link.

My question is - is this numbering of lines required and why do they do it?

Line numbering is used for rehearsals and retakes and so on, "can you go from 4 on page 12" etc. That Rudy's Rare Records PDF is the equivalent of a "shooting script" except I'm sure they call it something different on radio.

There's no need to number your lines for submission to Writersroom.

I used that "Rudy's Rare Records" script as reference for a radio sitcom. Odd thing is, it's 40 pages long -- and I've since been told that for radio you only need about 30 (around 200 words per minute).

I think it says on writersroom it should be about 6500 words.
