Is Tilt coming back this year? Or are you guys just hoping it will?

Was there? Oh yeah, there was. Mind you, three good topical sketches a week is probably my limit working flat-out!

There are going to be two 10-week runs this week.

I think I can remember someone on another part of the forum saying they were replacing Tilt with another show which contained material from unsolicited writers, which had a long run. But I could be wrong. There is nothing mentioned on the BBC Writers Room yet.

Ooh cool. Any idea when?

Spring-ish. But it might not be called Tilt any more. Check BBC Writersroom and these forums, and I'm sure you won't miss it.

Well, that's some hope for those of us who didn't make the RFTP cut. At least that's 20 shows to potentially turn us down!

I heard this on the iPlayer. I want to say something nice about it so I'll say I loved the ideas for the Google and Facebook Friends sketches.

1. Messengers on horseback deliver banal messages.

Sounds similar to one I wrote and saw recorded at the first show - wonder if this was a rerecording, runner by someone else or just, um, a similar sketch...?

Could be any of those. Someone was saying last night in the pub (bit hazy after a few drinks - either one of the script editors or Afinkawan) that they do sometimes re-record a sketch if the sound wasn't right, audience didn't get it, someone had some tweaks that made it even better etc

I reckon just similar. Was at both recordings and it didn't seem familiar.

That was me. But I think the sketch in question was a similar rather than a re-record.

On last night's recording, the elephant man and ministers losing everything were mine. I was particularly happy with the lost data one as I got to write stage directions for a radio sketch and got a heckler in the middle of it, both of which must be pretty unusual.

That was beautifully done, has to be said. And God bless Willbond and Coleman for improvising around the 'helpful' suggestion...

Haha! Just noticed that. F**king writers who can't write... they're a waste of time...

:)

Dan

Anyone know when Thursday's sketch list will be put up? I think it was on the day last time.

April time for Tilt. ;)
