That's the wild, wintry north for you. ;)

Damn you.

To be fair, your hair is in your mouth around 80% of the time anyway. ;)

Haha! Quite true. Bloody hair...

Weeellllll, okay, maybe that's not quite accurate!

But down here at least, it's usually only hot for like a day, then a few days of dullness, the hot again. So it's not 'unbearable', just really annoying.

But when it's hot every single day for months, that's 'unbearable', to me. And that only happened a few summers ago, when I was in London, and I couldn't sleep every night from the heat, and couldn't leave the house without wearing next to nothing and having a hand fan on my face 24 hours a day.

Horrible.

Ha. I think your threshold is quite a bit higher than mine.

Maybe, maybe.

Pickled eggs are awesome. My friend's wife managed to get her hands on the recipe for the eggs made famous by a Long Beach dive bar. I make them all the time.

1 12-oz jar yellow chili peppers (hot)
2 Tbsp. Pickling spice
1 c. wine vinegar
1-1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Turmeric
2 tsp. Salt
8 eggs

Hard boil eggs. Mix rest of ingredients. Peel eggs and put into liquid while warm. Don't refrigerate. Keep in sealed jar with lid. It must marinate for two days, and the marinade may be used again several times. The hotness wears down as more eggs are added.

Although picnics are slightly less bad, for some reason.

Picnics can be exciting, or romantic and stuff.

Defffinitely! I have to sleep with a fan blowing on me for, I guess, 95% of the year. Even over Christmas. I'd be quite happy with it staying at the -8 it was last weekend, all year round. In fact, I pray for it.

Aw, yes. I guess so.

Ah, yes. Fans can be quite nice at night.

It's currently 13C but it's supposed to get up to 24C later in the day. I guess I'll wait until noon to go out and install the gutter covers I bought on Friday.

Ah, yes. Fans can be quite nice at night.

And during the day. :)

24 hours, mine are forced to work. And I wear my lovely Australian shirts. I want some more though.

And I wear my lovely Australian shirts.

Do they keep you cool down under?

Haha!

What are they made of, Aaron?

24 hours, mine are forced to work.

I have ceiling fans in almost every room and they're usually whirring away. The one in the living room is about 15 feet in the air and it's a real pain in the ass to clean.

Do they keep you cool down under?

Ha! No, alas, that is the work of thin shorts.

Viscose.

Do they keep you cool down under?

Laughing out loud
