It's a Joke Page 2

Good stuff, you talented bastards!

I backed this as being funny when you posted the script ages ago.

In fact, I said this:

David Bussell, you make me very happy.

In a non gay way.

I thought the original version was ace, really funny. You're one of my personal favourite sketch writers on here. And I'm sure you think that's a MASSIVE compliment!

Also you're really handsome and have a funny voice.

I remember you saying that!

Excellent. Agree that the locations could have been more abruptly disjointed.

Dave is quite pleasing to the eye from a distance, but up close...my God, the leprosy.

Here's a sketch I've been waiting to see edited for a while now. Check it out. If you give one fraction of a toss.

Love the staff, where did you get that?

Nice. I really like sketches with music in (kind of gives it a budget, imho).

Great performances too. (although the staff was a bit wooden....ahem...I'll go and stand in the unfunny corner now.)

Very nice. Agree about the "shhh" moments and perfect scene exiting the pub. Also liked the bit with the tree where there was a squirrel along the trunk :D

You must be the first person to spot the squirrel - it's hard to pick out on the small screen.

I liked it alot, very simple idea done slickly so it works beautifully.

Where did you get that fabulous staff?
N.B. can the next one feature a LOTR style Balrog duel on a small bridge near a boating lake?

Ta, Soots.

Here's where I got the staff:

Be warned, they aren't terrifically sturdy as I found out. It was held together by gaffa by the end of the shoot.

Liked it. :) The music, the staff, the dramatic shots; like Sooty says, simple idea, brilliantly done.

Very nice of you to say, Julia.

With a staff like that it has to be done! Perhaps to geese/pigeons on the bridge. Or on crazy golf course bridge. Or a multitude of other ways

I'd love to to something like that. I seem to remember writing a sketch with Gandalf playing the Balrog in a footy match in fact.

Nice one fellas!

I stumbled across this there too, I found the guy really funny. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=49998013

Ta, Nil. Yeah, there are some good sketches on there. Sarah Campbell's are always worth checking out.

Good stuff, you talented bastards!

Thanks very much, Lee. May sweet meats rain upon you. With gravy.

Hahaha I'd like to see that.

Cheers, matey. Like I say, I might spot some in some down the line.

Before we met I did tell you I'd be there with bells on.

Ta, Ben. Yeah, I was impressed with the music. It's the sort of tune you could ride a dragon to.

Funny stuff Dave, especially the on my terms line. And of course the swans. Can there be more swans in everyone's sketches?

Was Gandalf the goalkeeper or was he just giving (Bolton/other famed long-ball non-passing game) team's talk?

Also echo the comments about the choice and use of music.

Ah the you shall not pass sketch!

I thought it was shit.

Nah, not really. It's very good. I think the music really makes it. Well done.

Enjoyed. Who did you employ as your swan wrangler?
