Hahaha! He's not very happy about your shooting there
The gun sounded so quiet I thought it'd be louder!

Beer cans at 65 feet. I've read that the typical gunfight takes place at about 12 feet, so beware all you zombies and villains!
I think I also have footage of the .357 Magnum and a shotgun.
Quote: Huge Bear @ January 17 2009, 1:56 AM GMTOne thing, though; the Chinese earn a fraction of what we do in the West, yet they manage to save money. Whereas in both the UK and the US personal debt has just skyrocketed. Tells you a bit about the way they live.
You mean not like greedy materialists?

It's loud enough to make your ears ring for hours and cause permanent hearing damage. I was wearing earplugs, so that's why I couldn't hear my friend or the ricochets very well. Also, I think the camera's microphone dynamically compensates for loud noises.

Oh they are materialistic - Hong Kong is notorious for "conspicuous consumption", if you've got it flaunt it. But they won't spend what they don't have.
The people I feel sorry for in Britain are those with mortgages. And those who've remortgaged...

During my recent trip to Las Vegas I witnessed literal hordes of Chinese tourists buying up designer clothing and goodies at the high-end casino shops. I think they're getting the hang of materialism quite well.

Noise limiter, definitely.

And nice to put another face to another username.

Absolutely - but they won't remortgage their property to do it. But what they will do is gamble, and big time - they'll bet on two flies crawling up a wall. So Las Vegas comes as no surpise.

Should we all post photos of ourselves?

While in Vegas I did a non-scientific survey and counted 100 people who walked past me on the Strip. Seventy out of 100 appeared to be Chinese, Korean or Japanese to my uncalibrated eye.
This will eventually link to another video:

Definitely tourists, not US-resident? (especially Korean) You'd be able to tell of course.

I'd guess that they were about 60% residents, 40% tourists. The tourists tend to be the ones dressed up, flashing money and buying lots of stuff.
"Oriental" is a word that just isn't used very much over here. If anything, they'd be called "Asian." I guess that's what happens after a few decades of colonization and political correctness.
Regarding the recent uproar about the prince's "Paki" remark, most Americans would probably wonder why it was offensive, seeing as it's just a shortened version of the PC term. And then someone would remind him/her about "Japs" and "Gooks" and there would be an uncomfortable silence.
One man's slang is another man's slur ...
I'm pretty sure Australians refer to "Pakis" all the time (they play each other at cricket pretty frequently) and just think of that as a shortened version.
Wish "Aussie" was offensive...
Actually, "Japs" is a good one; I think in the UK it's borderline
