Do an allergy story. A couple are are driven to the brink of spliting up because he's allergic to her cat. She won't get rid of the cat. But after testing it turns out he's allergic to her. So he dumps her and keeps the cat.

I did do an epsode of DOctors mind you called Bringing up Baby which was about a bitter custody battle in court over a cat!
