Do you ever find that keeping in touch with those friends who aren't "online" i.e don't have work e-mail, Facebook is really hard?
It's so much effort and to be honest I can't be bothered. E-mail and FB makes things so much easier.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't even bother.
Would you say all your friends are online then?
I write letters on antique parchment in gothic, gold-leaf caligraphy for my real friends. I throw gala dinners for them in sumptuous surroundings to make them realise how important they are to me.
The rest of you will have to content yourselves with being a contact on Facebook and me never acknowledging you.

Yup, having to actually call people and talk to them on the phone is a ball ache.
It's not that... I still call my friends who are "Online" a lot. I just find, I accidently lose contact with them, and lose what we have in common.

Pretty much everyone I'm bothered about even knowing if they're still alive, is indeed online, yes. But like I said, if they're not, then I wouldn't bother.
Face it, in the 'modern age', if they're not online, then that sends a pretty clear signal that they don't want to be contacted.
What are 'friends'?

I have a dislike of calling people for no real reason. I arrange almost all meetups by text or email.
I have a fair few friends not online due to the fact they ether can't really afford it or are just very anti social networking sites. I don't fess up how geeky I am which is why I keep my "web" mates seperate from them. They can NEVER know the truth!!!
Not that I'm ashamed on any of you.....

The telephone is a vile invention. Everything is done online in my world.

A drain on time and money. Bah humbug.
