Recorded For Training Purposes (Series 3) Page 38

Yeah, I've heard the names before. John-Luke Roberts has written two series of Spats, a (very good, IMO) sketch show on Radio 7. Though I did prefer the first series to the second. I believe it was produced by some Ed Morrish fella too.

Well done, btw. Saw your name in the credits list before I listened to the show anyway.

The show was very good last night (just listened to it). The audience reactions are *very* Radio 4 though -- someone seems to have to start the applause off before everyone joins in! I suspect it was the BSG writers clapping maniacally after their individual sketches. That made me laugh itself :)

Dan

Mine's in the 2nd episode.

Good luck to everyone else.

Anyone along tonight? Or have stuff in?

I've not heard anything about my rewrite; good or bad! Anyone else? Either way?

Dan

I've got a couple going in tonight from the sounds of it. I'll be at the recording.

A few are meeting at the Starbucks nearby? I should be there about 6-ish I guess so if you see a fat beardy guy in a duffle coat with a bag over his shoulder, probably looking through the window while he has a quick roll-up, come say hello. I might be with a mate who's coming to the recording.

My secret identity is 'Marc' so you don't have to stand in the middle of London wondering how to pronounce 'Afinkawan' and if you see me chatting to someone who looks like a sort of cross between Ray Mears and Kenneth Brannagh, that's Antrax.

Otherwise, try to find us in the smaller of the two waiting rooms. If you get in early, wait until about 10 to 7 and ask the staff if you can look for a mate in the other room. Failing that try to meet at the interval and failing that, hang around immediately outside the exit when they kick out as it would be good to at least say hello to a couple of faces on here!

I just hope that some of my sketches appear tonight. I haven't heard back about any of the sketches that I re-wrote for the show.

Same here.

Well, at least that's consistent for three of us, so I won't lose hope just yet!

Dan

Haven't got a ticket for the show but may say hello at Starbucks. I haven't got far to walk.

Christ, what a threesome.

Christ, what a threesome.

Great - as long as we take precautions.

chip -- if any one of them is you, I'm there! ;)

In my avatar, I'm the one at the back peeping round, waiting for the dozy bint at the front to finish with the shower so I can rinse myself off. :)

Yeah, alright -- you've convinced me. You'll be cold if you turn up dressed liked that though.

Dan

What a bastard eh? I just found an email in my spam box from the producer saying they wanted to use some of material with a small rewrite. Just emailed him and guess what - it's too late now, last show's tonight.

Very f**king Hell.

Oh well. Note to self: Turn off shitty spam filter.
